The protocol-independent, physical layer fiber mode converters allow you to easily make the connection between two dissimilar fiber types or wavelengths – for example, to extend multi-mode switch interfaces over single-mode fiber cabling up to 80Km.
The iMcV-series fiber mode converters include the following modules:
Protocol-independent operation makes the fiber mode conversion series easy to deploy: for Ethernet to Fast Ethernet and ATM/OC-3 choose the S2MM/155 series; for OC-12, Gigabit Ethernet and FibreChannel, choose the S2MM/1250 series.
The modular architecture of the iMcV Fiber Mode Conversion series gives you the flexibility to add single-mode fiber optic links to your network where and when needed without the costly investment in fixed, GBIC or SFP single-mode fiber optic ports.
What's more, our iMcV Fiber Mode Conversion series is now available with Single Strand Fiber technology, which effectively doubles the existing fiber capacity by transmitting two-channel, full duplex data on just one strand of fiber.
