Fiber Mode Converters
Fiber Mode converters allow network operators to connect fiber network segments with dissimilar fiber types. Standard single-and multi-mode fiber, single strand fiber and multiple wavelength CWDM fiber segments can be inexpensively mixed and matched using mode converters.
IMC offers two different types of mode converters: standalone and modular
IE-ModeConverter
IE-ModeConverter: Standalone, unmanaged, temperature-tolerant compact mode converter, to be used with two same-speed SFPs
iMcV-S2SM, M2MM, S2MM Modules
SNMP managed modular converters, designed for MediaChassis and iMediaChassis chassis families
IE-iMcV-ModeConverter SFP/SFP
The protocol-independent IE-iMcV-ModeConverter supports MSA Compliant SFP modules (up to 2.4 Gbps) to allow for multiple fiber mode/type conversion options, including single-strand fiber. Featuring extended temperature operation, the IE-iMcV-ModeConverter SFP/SFP allows you to incorporate multiple wavelengths, fiber types and speeds into an SNMP manageable chassis based system.
