DS3/E3/STS Fiber Converter

The iMcV-DS3/E3/STS coax-to-fiber repeater provides a transparent conversion from coaxial circuits to fiber optics, dramatically increasing the signal range. It is ideal for extending transmission distances of high-speed coaxial circuits over multi-mode, single-mode and single-strand fiber optic cabling.

The iMcV-DS3/E3/STS repeaters are ideal in wide area access applications, linking buildings over a campus area network, or even in premises network applications where incoming coaxial circuits need conversion to fiber for distribution up the structured cabling system. The iMcV-DS3/E3/STS series repeaters are also available with single-strand fiber, effectively doubling the network capacity, making it an ideal solution when fiber is in short supply, or expensive to provision.

Protocol-selectable iMcV-DS3/E3/STS modules feature remote management, advanced line conditioning, jitter removal and loopback testing capabilities, enabling network operators to control remote units from a central location without sending a technician on site.

The remote management functions transparent to the data traffic, so customers will not experience overhead or the loss of a channel typically associated with remote management or SNMP polling.

The iMcV-DS3/E3/STS are used in pairs, and install into iMediaChassis or unmanaged MediaChassis series.
